Life Care Pill Packaging

Reminder

The inspiration for this design came from the need to prevent forgetfulness and overdose, which can be harmful and even life-threatening. The pill packaging features a hole that resembles a mark, allowing users to keep track of their medication intake. By printing the numbers from 1 to 7 of the week in the corresponding hole, along with the date of taking the medicine, the packaging provides a clear and visual reminder.

One of the unique properties of this design is its support function. The packaging can be placed in a conspicuous position, serving as a strong reminder for users. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals who may easily forget to take their medication.

The Life Care Pill Packaging is made using medicinal PTP aluminum foil and medicinal PVC hard film. Its dimensions are 100mm in length, 60mm in width, and 10mm in height, with flexibility in size to accommodate different needs.

Each number on the packaging corresponds to a specific day of the week. For example, if a person needs to take medication three times on Tuesday, there will be three holes in the number 2 for them to check later. This interaction ensures that users can easily keep track of their medication schedule.

The design project for the Life Care Pill Packaging started in January 2021, with research and information gathering. The function summary and prioritization were completed in March 2021, followed by the finalization of the design in June 2021. The design inspection was completed on June 16, 2021.

This innovative pill packaging design provides a practical and efficient solution to the problem of medication forgetfulness. Its intuitive identification system and support function make it a valuable tool for individuals who need to manage their medication intake. The Life Care Pill Packaging was recognized for its excellence and received the Iron A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category in 2022.
